Job Summary
Greet patients, families, and visitors at the West Information Desk while assisting with way-finding, securing wheelchairs, and offering orientation to the main lobby and registration areas. Manage visitor sign-in processes, provide local resource information, and ensure courtesy wheelchairs are sanitized before and after each use. Maintain a clean work environment in the lobby and surrounding entry points, while documenting incidents as required. Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality standards and hospital policies throughout all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of customer service experience
- Health Care industry experience
- Ability to walk short distances
- Independent wheelchair mobility
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time up to ten hours per day
- Competence with computers and Microsoft Office Suite software
- Functional hearing abilities for communications from a cellular phone or other telephonic devices and PA speakers
- Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours as needed
- Problem resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to speak, read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to apply reasoning and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
