Job Summary
Seasonal Guest Service Representative at the Houston Zoo provides information and assists guests with ticket purchases at the Main Gate, greets guests, and guides them on zoo offerings, directions, and events. The role rotates through various zoo attractions (e.g., Giraffe feeding, Carousel, Water Play Park, Stroller rentals) and requires handling ticket media, maintaining a safe environment, and delivering friendly, professional service in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, possess a High School Diploma or GED, have 1-3 months of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Flexible, rotating shifts including weekends and holidays are required; this is a part-time seasonal position with defined end date.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- One to Three Months relevant work experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Ability to partner across teams and with all levels of staff
