Job Summary
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests while issuing keys and escort instructions. Transmits and receives messages via telephone, fax, radio, and switchboard. Answers inquiries regarding hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, and travel directions. Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts, then computes bills, collects payments, and posts charges. Accounts for all cash and makes deposits in accordance with company and gaming commission policies. Safeguards assets, monitors the environment for safety, and communicates effectively with front office and other departments. Reports to work on time in uniform, attends required training, and complies with all established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission
- Must be able to work directly with the general public
- Must be able to change easily and frequently from one activity to another such as from typing, to searching in a directory, to using a telephone
- Requires good organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be flexible with shift and days off
- Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements
- Must be confidential
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission
Desired Qualifications
- Some previous job-related experience working directly with the general public is preferred
- Requires some previous computer experience
