Job Summary
Greet and register guests, manage front office operations, and act as Manager on Duty when needed. Execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue by promoting services, amenities, and repeat bookings while maintaining guest privacy and accommodating special requests. Ensure all cash, checks, and miscellaneous departments are balanced at shift end, verify credit card validity, and maintain accurate communication logs for guest issues and service recovery. Assist with housekeeping, dining, and laundry duties as assigned to ensure property cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Maintain thorough knowledge of the entire property, including rates, room types, and local dining options. Work standing for eight hours in a physical environment requiring the ability to lift 60 pounds and perform emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent of same
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Computer literate to thoroughly operate property management system: post charges, compute bills, collect payment and make change
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Multi task, remain associate and guest service centric
- Have a thorough working knowledge of emergency procedures
- Maintain certification from a responsible
- Must be able to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Character traits of honesty and trustworthiness
- Must pass appropriate security clearances
- Physical presence at the hotel
- Standing, walking for long periods of time while maintaining a friendly professional image
- May be required to work any day/shift, including weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in service, sales, telesales or guest relations type of industry preferred
