Guest Service Representative

Job Summary
Greet guests, perform check-in/out procedures, and explain hotel amenities and promotional items during conversations. Check house counts, review credit limit exceptions, and clear checkouts or extend stays as needed. Update housekeeping room status, balance departments from daily activity reports, and perform cashier shift changes. Respond promptly to inquiries or complaints by offering alternate solutions when demands cannot be met. Document any guest accidents by completing the accident report form. Handle cash and credit card procedures while maintaining attention to detail and knowledge of the hotel layout and local area. Work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- One year hospitality experience
- Customer service experience
- Experience handling cash and credit card procedures
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge of the hotel layout, all amenities offered, and all procedures & organization
- Knowledge of local geographic area knowledge, area businesses & services, major highway/street information, and community events & attractions
- Attention to detail
