Job Summary
Guest Services Associate supports the Family Room and in-hospital families at UCSF Mission Bay. Responsibilities include staffing the Family Room, distributing lunches and dinners, stocking resources, assisting with housing coordination, coordinating with hospital partners, addressing family concerns, ensuring infection control and sanitation, monitoring inventory and completing work orders, and supervising volunteers. The role requires interaction with families from diverse backgrounds in a medical environment, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work a full-time schedule including some holidays and weekends. Education: High School Diploma. Experience: 1 year of customer service or related field; 2-3 years in roles with diverse populations and in a nonprofit/medical setting. Certifications: CPT (adult & pediatric), First Aid, AED or ability to obtain. Must have a valid CA driver’s license and be able to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of customer experience or related field
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience with diverse populations and in medical/non-profit settings
- Certified in Adult & Pediatric CPT, First Aid, and AED or ability to get certified
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
