Job Summary
Guest Service Agent at a hotel responsible for guest registrations, reservations, and revenue collection with a focus on sales and customer service. Role includes greeting and registering guests, handling check-ins/outs, knowledge of reservations and the property management system (PMS), processing payments, maintaining guest privacy and safety, attending to special requests, and promoting repeat business through upselling and providing information on hotel services, promotions, and frequent-stay benefits. Must read/write English proficiently, maintain cash handling accuracy, and follow brand procedures. Includes duties across front desk operations, coordination with housekeeping, and assisting in other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to clearly read, write and understand English
- Be able to lift and carry 25 pounds; push and pull 50 pounds
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies
- Must maintain certification from a responsible vendor training if alcohol is served at your property
- Knowledge of reservations and procedures, PMS, and ability to post charges and handle payments
- Ability to handle cash, checks, and miscellaneous departments and balance at end of shift
- Be able to deliver high-quality guest service, greet and register guests, and handle special requests
- Wear proper uniform and maintain professional appearance
- Ability to provide sales leads and promote repeat business
