Job Summary
Guest Service Representative duties include creating a welcoming environment, registering guests and assigning rooms, pre-registration and blocking rooms, cash handling, understanding room status and rates, using suggestive selling to promote rooms and services, coordinating with housekeeping, handling reservations in-house and by phone, processing charges, and maintaining a tidy lobby. The role requires knowledge of safety procedures, adherence to health and safety standards, and collaboration with other hotel departments. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be available for day, evening, and night shifts including weekends/holidays, possess strong English communication and organizational skills, and be proficient with computerized systems.
