Job Summary
Monitor assigned areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism while enforcing company policies and screening visitors by verifying credentials. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents by aiding as needed, documenting occurrences, and gathering information for investigations including surveillance footage review. Conduct routine inspections of doors and windows to ensure facility security, assist with crowd control at peak times, and act as a liaison with the Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. Assist in overnight operations and perform other duties as assigned, including providing excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence. This seasonal full-time role requires a valid driver's license, law enforcement experience, and the ability to work in adverse winter conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Law Enforcement, security or related field experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize unusual behavior and security risks
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees, guests, and emergency responders
- Ability to handle difficult customer interactions and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Ability to remain calm and take decisive action in high-pressure situations
- Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency procedures
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately
- Attention to detail for accurately reporting incidents and identifying potential security threats
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism in all situations
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
- This position may require you to ski/snowboard in variable terrain for on mountain locations
