Job Summary
Guest Room Supervisor responsible for all functions of the housekeeping department, including supervision and training of housekeepers, scheduling, ensuring rooms are cleaned to company standards, covering shifts when needed, and maintaining safety and supplies. Role emphasizes maintaining guest satisfaction through attentive service, quality control, and adherence to SOPs, with duties such as inspecting rooms, reconciling daily paperwork, and communicating with the General Manager. The position is based at InTown Suites in Hattiesburg, MS, and requires multitasking, leadership, time-management, and strong interpersonal skills to manage housekeeping staff and interact with guests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience with proven skill and performance or 6 months supervisory experience in rooms division or related position
- Ability to manage multiple staff and priorities
- Ability to read, speak, and write effectively for guest and staff communication
- Ability to work long hours as needed
- Ability to physically perform duties (lift up to 25-50 pounds)
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping/laundry SOPs and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
