Job Summary
Supervise and train all housekeeping staff according to company standard operating procedures while scheduling shifts based on operational needs. Ensure all housekeepers perform up to standards and verify that vacant rooms are serviced and ready to sell prior to opening. Inspect and maintain equipment, fill in when other housekeepers are absent, and enforce safety protocols by reporting violations to the General Manager. Reconcile daily paperwork before shift end and maintain superior customer service during guest interactions. This role requires managing multiple staff efficiently, working eight-hour shifts, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple staff members efficiently
- Ability to use time management skills to effectively accomplish tasks
- Possess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines
- Ability to read, understand and interpret information found in a variety of reports and other internal hotel information
- Ability to read, speak and write in an efficient manner to interact with guests and staff
- Ability to compose and express thoughts concisely to ensure effective communication
- Ability and flexibility to work long hours on a regular basis as business conditions demand
- Ability to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations and with time constraints
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with proven skill and performance or 6 months' supervisory experience in rooms division or related position
- Ability to step in and perform a variety of housekeeping/laundry positions in response to business needs
- Ability to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces
- Standing for eight (8) hour shifts
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heat
- Ability to fill in when other housekeepers are absent

- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
- Any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
