Guest Room Engineer

Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, restaurants, and lounges. Respond to maintenance requests generated by staff and guests in a timely manner, completing tasks submitted by work order. Execute electrical work, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs while adhering to all safety policies and company procedures. Report emergency situations, unusual occurrences, and the need for major repairs to management immediately. Determine the exact cause and location of fire alarms and communicate findings with the front desk. Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and resort property.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 Years related experience
- Basic knowledge of both hand and power tools
- Understanding of basic carpentry
- Understanding of basic plumbing
- Understanding of basic electrical
- Understanding of basic painting
- Proven track record of 'Do it right the first time' work ethic
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests and other employees
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of resort operations (similar experience)
