Job Summary
Clean and maintain assigned guest rooms by replacing amenities, removing soiled linens, and performing turndown functions while strictly adhering to Mount Airy Casino Resort policies, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, and OSHA standards. Report maintenance needs, damages, or missing items to supervision, secure room keys, and turn over any lost property. Replenish supplies, maintain a clean cart, and immediately update room status upon checkout. Complete required reports, participate in daily inspections, and attend necessary meetings while promoting positive relations with guests and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk and move through all property areas
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, stoop or kneel for long periods
- Physical stamina and proper mental state of mind to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Adequate manual dexterity, including hand and wrist movement to operate equipment, perform cleaning functions and engage in lifting, pushing or pulling up to seventy-five (75) pounds
- Ability to handle exposure to areas where smoking is permitted
- Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Ability to read labels
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Oral and aural acuity and ability to respond to cues
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Gaming License, if necessary
- Must be able to perform each of the essential functions and responsibilities satisfactorily
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- One year of Hospitality/Housekeeping experience preferred
