Job Summary
Service guest rooms using cleaning agents and equipment to ensure adherence to departmental policies. Remove, inventory, and replace soiled linens while organizing and replenishing amenities. Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment and keep the cleaning cart stocked with adequate supplies. Assist other departmental personnel as needed and promote positive public/employee relations. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required within a 24-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- basic mathematical skills
- valid gaming license
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- ability to respond to visual and aural cues
- ability to stand and walk 90% of the time
- ability to push or lift approximately 20 to 25 lbs of furniture, equipment, trash and linens
- ability to effectively understand and communicate to patrons and employees
- ability to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino
- ability to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
- physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment
- ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior hotel cleaning experience
- Must possess excellent communication skills
