Job Summary
Welcome guests to the farm, answer their questions, and direct them to other areas while handling cash, check, credit card, and gift certificate payments. Communicate with the Farm Manager and other employees to ensure a fun and safe experience for every guest. Maintain clean and orderly work areas while following all department and health and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Working conditions may be hot, cold, or variable depending on outdoor shifts. Prior customer service experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, which are furnished in written and oral form
- Ability to deal with problems involving standard and nonstandard situations
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- Commitment to superior customer service
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Follow and interpret quantity recipes to prepare a volume of quality bakery items while maintaining proper temperature and sanitary conditions
- Generally light physical effort. The employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. rarely and/or 5 to 25 lbs. occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships along with adjusting the eye to bring objects into sharp focus
