Job Summary

Connect with guests prior to arrival to capture preferences and customize the luxury experience, then reach out seven days before arrival to confirm details and special requests. Manage guest profiles to ensure accuracy, coordinate with departments to fulfill needs, and execute check-ins and check-outs using property management and point of sale software. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, update shift notes for handovers, and attend scheduled departmental meetings and training. Requires high school education, clear communication skills, and availability for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
  • Availability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks
  • Manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing
  • Ability to hold a conversation with the guest in a natural and spontaneous manner
  • Ability to carry out checkout in efficient manner
  • Ability to offer luggage assistance and transportation
  • Ability to wish fond farewell to the guest at the time of departure
  • Ability to take notes of all the information, updates and instruction
  • Ability to give proper handover before signing off from the shift
  • Ability to attend and contribute to all meetings, Departmental and Hotel training as scheduled and other related activities
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of priority and dedication
  • Ability to serve guests in a calm, discrete and courteous manner
  • Ability to respect timing standards
  • Ability to coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfill guest needs and requests
  • Knowledge of using the point of sale software, property management software and any other system or software to perform check-ins / check-outs
  • Ability to manage guest profiles, room reservations, requests
  • Ability to apply payment, verify and adjust billing
  • Ability to activate room keys
  • Full conversance on accommodation features: layout, room type, location, decor, in room facilities and equipment
  • Full awareness of operating procedures for all electrical and electronic equipment in the guest room
  • Ability to keep concerned departments informed about the guest allergies and food preferences
  • Ability to create instant rapport with guests through simple but genuine interactions
  • Ability to instill a sincere feeling of welcome and appreciation
  • Ability to welcome the VIP guest upon arrival within Hotel Lobby
  • Ability to host and welcome all guests in a gracious and polite manner
  • Ability to determine if guests have any special needs or preferences
  • Ability to reconfirm or obtain reservation details such as arrival time, billing arrangements, or any special request
  • Ability to ensure that all preferences and information is complete and accurate
  • Ability to be well-versed with all hotel services and facilities, including the surrounding area
  • Ability to perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
