Job Summary
Answer telephone and in-person questions, assist patrons with program selection, and process merchandise sales using point-of-sale and member engagement software. Enforce center rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for members, guests, and colleagues. Offer assistance to new members and visitors regarding recreation offerings and park amenities while consistently implementing best practices for membership retention. Work weekends at The Community & Recreation Center, which delivers fitness, aquatics, youth, and older adult programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in the English language
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons, colleagues, the Township, and the general public
- Experience showing strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills
- Ability to learn the point of sale software and proper money handling procedures
- Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment
- Ability to analyze and utilize a variety of records
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of computer and database systems and programs
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Activenet a plus
