Job Summary
Monitor property security through surveillance, access control, and regular patrols while enforcing protocols to safeguard parishioners, staff, volunteers, and assets. Act as the primary point of contact for visitors and guests, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally, and respond immediately to emergencies such as medical incidents or fire alarms. Collaborate with management, housekeeping, and maintenance to address security issues and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks before they escalate. Maintain positive relationships with the local community and assist as needed in other parish areas. This role supports the safety of St. Patrick Parish and De Mazenod Door Outreach operations within the Diocese of Hamilton.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in various security environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures
