Job Summary
Provide exceptional overnight guest service with a compassionate, family-centered approach at Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay. Respond calmly to emergencies following established protocols while performing housekeeping duties, cleaning shared spaces, and supporting room turnovers. Ensure accurate guest registration, check-in, and check-out processes using database systems to track information and generate reports. Work the overnight shift from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, two to three nights per week, often as the sole employee on duty. This role supports families receiving medical treatment at local hospitals, requiring CPR and fire alarm training alongside strong emotional awareness and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must meet healthcare requirements of partner hospital
- Complete biannual CPR training
- Complete annual fire alarm training
- Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity toward the intersections of ability, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion/spirituality, and sexual orientation
- The ability to read and comprehend documents and instruments
- Must perform detailed work utilizing reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Complete multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions
- Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
- Possess interpersonal skills at all levels of the non-profit field
- Possess organizational skills
- Must be able to serve as a pro-active resource for guests, staff, and community members
