Job Summary
Greet patients at registration desks, verifying demographics and phone numbers while updating emergency contact information and Meaningful Use data. Perform complete patient searches to avoid duplicates, run insurance eligibility, and verify payment sources in EPM. Monitor the lobby for wait times, manage reading materials, and maintain cleanliness. Schedule and cancel appointments accurately, collect payments, and close daily batches before leaving. Requires high school diploma and one year of medical/insurance experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
Desired Qualifications
- One1+ years experience within medical/insurance environment preferred
- Medical terminology and/or knowledge in the medical field
- 2-3 years of customer service
