Job Summary
The Guest Experience Hospitality Specialist serves as the first point of contact for the SDSU Alumni & Foundation, greeting guests in person and by phone, and providing information and assistance to donors, event attendees, and meeting participants. Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming front desk and conference rooms, coordinating refreshments, handling mail, scheduling and coordinating room reservations and signage, assisting with donor or VIP visits and event materials, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Requires strong customer service, clear communication, organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, and proficiency with standard office software; ability to manage multiple tasks and work with internal teams in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes professionalism, dependability, and initiative in representing the organization’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of professional experience in a related field (such as communications, administrative support, customer service, or guest reception) is recommended.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
