Job Summary
Greet guests at Hersheypark main gates, manage high guest flow, and record admissions, exits, and re-entries using hand stamps. Scan tickets and Season Passes via the Galaxy system, verify validity, and handle upsells for park programs and add-ons. Manage stroller, wagon, wheelchair, and ECV rentals by stacking inventory, tracking returns with a clicker, and assisting with equipment operation and breakdowns. Resolve guest inquiries, log feedback, and maintain proper records for all rental and accessibility information. Provide exceptional telephone service and assist with area cleanliness to ensure a positive experience.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Friendly, upbeat, work well with other employees, and be able to interact with guests
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
- Ability to handle money, including making change, as well as completing cashless transactions
- Ability to learn operational standards for the Guest Experience Department and adhere to department policy on cash handling and reporting
- Ability to safeguard confidential information
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as maintain three (3) days of operational availability, Memorial Day - Labor Day
- Ability to maintain at least one (1) weekend day (Friday-Sunday) Labor Day through the beginning of November
- Visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, tickets, printed papers)
- Ability to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to stand (for up to five hours at a time), walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level and lift up to sixty (60) pounds without assistance
