Job Summary
Guest Experience Associate provides exceptional service to guests visiting or calling SDHS, assists with adoptions and inquiries, checks guests in/out for relinquishment and services, and cross-trains across Adoptions, Admissions, Stray and Reclaim. Responsibilities include acknowledging guests, answering questions about services, determining guest needs, guiding adopters to appropriate matches with the Adoption Guarantee, and gathering information for stray animal programs. Bilingual-Spanish is a plus; HS diploma and customer/guest services experience required. Location is at the San Diego Campus with part-time (24-28 hrs/wk) and full-time (40 hrs/wk) opportunities; pay range $20.75–$22.25 per hour with bilingual-Spanish premium eligibility; benefits and career growth opportunities described in posting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer/guest services required, 2 years preferred
- Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter or veterinary hospital preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus, bilingual-Spanish preferred
- Location & Hours: Based at our San Diego Campus. Part-Time positions work approximately 24-28 hours per week. Full-Time positions work 40 hours per week
