Job Summary
Answer incoming guest calls, direct them to appropriate departments, and assist with store questions. Process guest transactions including credits, refunds, lottery sales, and money orders per company policy. Operate cash registers and self-checkouts to itemize purchases, handle varied products, and process payments for cash, checks, cards, food stamps, and coupons. Maintain a clean, stocked department while ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling standards. Notify managers of pricing or equipment issues and follow all PPE and guest experience guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Good reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Exposed to outside weather conditions
- Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- One year of prior retail or related experience
