Job Summary
Provide personal care and attend to residents' special needs in a safe, efficient manner. Prepare food, serve in the dining room, handle busing and dishwashing, and perform personal laundry services for residents. Maintain work and storage areas in a clean, sanitary condition while operating and cleaning equipment and resident areas. Respond to resident or family concerns within your decision-making authority or escalate to the Health and Wellness Manager. Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information. Requires previous experience in laundry, food, or personal care services; secondary school completion is mandatory, with post-secondary certification preferred. Salary is $17.82 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous work experience in providing laundry, food, or personal care services
- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Post secondary education in related care fields [e.g. Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide (HCA) or Developmental Services Worker (DSW) certification]
