Guardrail Installer CDL Driver

Job Summary
Open highway guardrail installation and CDL-driver duties requiring reading plans/schematics, layout and installation of guardrail systems, loading/unloading materials on flat-bed trucks, operating post pounder/driver truck, and driving long distances to jobsites. Maintain logs, fuel and vehicle inspections, comply with FMCSA regulations, and perform related duties. Requires Class A CDL, ability to drive manual transmission, medical certificate, familiarity with GPS/AVL/CB equipment, and a flexible schedule with potential overtime. Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current and Valid Class A CDL or commercial driver license
- Must possess the ability to drive manual transmission
- Must be able to pass requirements on a FMCSA Clearinghouse Query
- Must provide a medical certificate
- 3-5 years guardrail installation
- Proven work experience as a truck driver with extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Working outdoors, in high speed traffic areas, and construction zones
- Vision and hearing adequate for safety and operation
- Excellent communication and ability to complete daily paperwork
- Flexible schedule including day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays
- Valid driver's license and background checks (MVR, drug testing)
