Job Summary
On-campus Security Guard responsible for traffic/pedestrian control, securing buildings and property after hours, regular patrols (on foot or in security vehicle), completing security statements and shift reports, occasional off-campus university business trips, maintaining filing systems for vehicle registrations and security reports, providing first aid as needed, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires navigating campus security needs, enforcing parking citations, and ensuring a visible safety presence. Requires basic compliance with background checks, drug screening, vaccination status disclosure within 30 days of hire, and eligibility to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- No experience or training is required.
- Must have attained eighteenth birthday at time of appointment.
- Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment.
- An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
