Job Summary
Support company facilities and operations through 24/7 coverage, including property inspections and periodic building patrols. Identify and address safety issues, maintain areas around the Guard Shack and gates during snow events, and monitor propane station operations. Patrol grounds at night, record unusual occurrences, sign out trucks, log rail cars, and monitor video surveillance. Identify trespassers, address parking issues, and check in/out vendor vehicles. Handle onsite emergencies, provide traffic control, respond to alarm calls, and notify authorities or EMS as needed. Mentor employees, spot-check inventory, and assist customers or vendors when available.
Required Qualifications
- A combination of weekday and weekend evenings
- 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation
- Identify Safety Issues then address or contact Building Maintenance/Loss Prevention Manager
- Maintain the area(s) around Guard Shack, Gates and Corporate Building and maintain a path to generator during a snow/ice event
- Observe operation of propane station to ensure safe dispensing
- Observe arriving/departing personnel for security and safety reasons
- Observe departing Company trucks/vehicles for safety issues
- Periodically patrol buildings and grounds (night & special circumstances during the day)
- Record data such as unusual occurrences, property damage or malfunctioning equipment (night)
- Sign out/in transfer trucks going to other Branches
- Log rail cars in/out
- Monitor video surveillance system- obtain still photos/video footage as needed
- Identify trespassers and address as needed
- Notify authorities of suspicious or criminal acts
- Address parking issues as needed
- Check in/out vendor trucks/vehicles and give direction as needed
- Handle onsite emergencies and provide traffic control when necessary
- Handle emergency phone calls from Branches and notify the appropriate Departments/Management
- Notify EMS/Police/Fire in case of emergencies
- Take alarm calls from Mahoney and address as needed
- Assist with incidents when needed
- Mentor fellow Employees as needed for their continued improvement
- Spot check inventory of items when needed
- Assist customers in seasonal area when needed and you are not by yourself
- Check customer propane tanks for expiration and condition when you are not by yourself
- Give directions to Lost customers and vendors
- Complete assigned projects
