Job Summary
Develop, operate, and coordinate crisis and access services to ensure mental health provision across the continuum for clients. Oversee integration of all center and community services while managing a rotating after-hours on-call system for daytime and nighttime crisis intervention. Lead supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, conducting sessions, and completing performance appraisals for staff. Monitor workflows, authorize services, and track expenditures to maintain budget alignment. Troubleshoot system problems, conduct needs assessments, and serve as a liaison between mental health, substance use, and criminal justice systems.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling from an accredited university
- Must have licensure with the State of Michigan as a fully licensed professional
- Ability to be credentialed by NLCMHA to provide services in this professional discipline
- This position requires clinical and program development/management expertise with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
- A minimum of 5 years previous clinical experience and 2 years administrative supervision is recommended
- Extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Code, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Contract, Clinical Assessments and Eligibility Guidelines, Medicaid Manual, Compliance requirements and the structure, guidelines and services of the Authority
- Must maintain licensure
