Job Summary
GSRP Lead Teacher needed for the 2026/2027 school year at Webster Early Childhood Center (Hazel Park Schools). The successful candidate will collaboratively team-teach with an assistant, implement The Creative Curriculum and HighScope with fidelity, plan and implement lessons for all parts of the daily routine based on a team-teaching model, and demonstrate reflective professional growth. Excellent communication with children, families, staff, and administrators, cultural responsiveness, and a commitment to working interdependently with the early childhood team are essential. Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA or ZS endorsement preferred
- BA or BS in early childhood education or child development required
- The Creative Curriculum training preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Experience with at-risk families and preschool children preferred
- Ability to plan and implement lessons using HighScope and The Creative Curriculum with fidelity
- Ability to supervise adults in a positive way and promote teamwork
Desired Qualifications
- BA or BS in early childhood education or child development
- Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA or ZS endorsement (preferred)
- Training in The Creative Curriculum and early childhood assessment instruments (preferred)
- Experience with HighScope curriculum (preferred)
- Current certification in Child CPR and Basic First Aid (preferred)
- Ability to work with at-risk families and preschool children (preferred)
