Job Summary
Assist in daily activities, stimulate children's intellectual and social development, and monitor assigned groups while maintaining a safe environment. Support mealtime routines and conduct home visits as required. Understand and maintain the goals of the Academy's preschool program, attend staff meetings, and complete professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. Requires a valid driver's license, satisfactory criminal background check, and DHS vaccination compliance. This role supports the instructional program for the subject matter assigned to meet State of Michigan education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid center-based pre-k CDA
- Minimum of one (1) year of successful work experience working with young children in a group
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Meet all requirements established by the Michigan Department of Human and Health Services (DHHS), as applicable
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Must have a valid Driver's license
- Must meet the DHS vaccination requirement(s)
- Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and bend occasionally
- Occasionally lifts and carries materials or items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use senses - sight, hearing, smell, and touch
- Ability to type; uses hand/eye coordination for typing and data entry
Desired Qualifications
- An associate degree in early childhood education or development is preferred
