Job Summary
GSRP Associate Teacher collaborates with the Lead Teacher to deliver a high-quality, developmentally appropriate preschool program for Cornerstone’s youngest learners. Through warm, attentive supervision, small-group support, and consistent daily routines, the Associate Teacher creates a safe, engaging classroom where every child can thrive. Responsibilities include assisting in delivering daily lessons and activities, supporting small-group instruction, maintaining routines and transitions, reinforcing positive behavior, supervising children during all activities, supporting social-emotional development, preparing materials and setting up learning centers, assisting with arrival/dismissal and meal service, and upholding GSRP/LARA licensing and safety requirements. The role emphasizes family engagement and alignment with Cornerstone’s mission and values; credential requirements include a CDA or an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent coursework with 12 ECE credits). Prior experience with young children (3–5) is preferred. Full-time compensation and benefits are provided commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- CDA credential required, OR Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, OR equivalent coursework with a minimum of 12 ECE credits as approved by GSRP.
