Job Summary
GSRP AIDE at Centreville, MI (Part-Time) provides support in a preschool setting, assists Lead Teacher and staff, handles routine classroom duties, supports child development per Prekindergarten standards, maintains confidentiality, and participates in professional development. Requires CPR/AED and first aid certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and reliable attendance; schedule up to 30 hours/week over 190 days, with onsite presence at multiple sites. Emphasizes teamwork, data/report record keeping, parent communications, and adherence to Safe/Quality Early Childhood standards.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with preschool preferred
- Ability to work in cooperative and collegial manner with GSRP Lead Teacher
- Yearly CPR/AED and first aid certification
- Must have regular and reliable job attendance, performance, and the physical ability to do the job
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at physical level with preschooler
- Required to have a physical presence at the designated job site each scheduled work day
- PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB: Climb steps and playground equipment; Walk long distances in community-based instruction; Lift and position physically involved children; Change diapers or assist any children in toileting and other self-care skills; Assist with maintenance/custodial care of classroom; Use universal precautions at all times for personal health and safety
