Job Summary
GSOC Operator for Swing Shift located in the HiveWatch Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). Responsible for proactively supporting multiple clients across diverse locations through emergency and non-emergency security operations, inbound call triage, event dispatch, and event-driven notifications 24/7. Responsibilities include answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring access control alerts and video feeds, dispatching security officers, maintaining concise records, coordinating with leadership teams to prepare for and respond to incidents, disseminating information via established channels, contributing to ongoing operations improvements, maintaining composure during crises, and complying with safety and confidentiality guidelines. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize under stress, and willingness to sign confidentiality agreements and undergo background checks. Shift is 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM; benefits include health coverage, equity plan eligibility, 401(k), PTO, and a modern HQ in El Segundo, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience working with or in a communications or operations center, or other related role
- Must be willing to learn unfamiliar technical systems
- Strong customer service/interpersonal skills, especially during times of crisis
- Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone)
- Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement, and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen upon the extension of a conditional employment offer
- Physical and Environmental Conditions: sitting or standing in place for extended periods, no personal belongings including electronics while on shift, secure storage onsite
- Must be able to generate concise reports from verbal or written sources
