Job Summary
GSOC Operator responsible for monitoring security alarms (fire, door, duress), CCTV, and life-safety incidents; dispatching security personnel and emergency responders; creating dispatch records and incident reports; collaborating with the Emergency Response Team; monitoring Alert media; troubleshooting CCTV/access-control issues; and taking ownership of GSOC projects. Requires handling sensitive information with confidentiality and maintaining professionalism under pressure. Strong multitasking, communication, and incident documentation skills are essential; preferred advanced degree and experience in GSOC or corporate security.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, or related fields
- Familiarity with security CCTV monitoring systems and protocols
- Ability to manage multiple lines of communication and multitask
- Basic proficiency with surveillance and alarm systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear incident documentation and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor in all interactions
- Proven ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations
