Job Summary
Assist the Ground Support Equipment Mechanic with repair and maintenance of Ground Support Equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, corrosion control, and reassembly. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine serviceability, and service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air. Obtain and maintain certifications for forklifts, tow tractors, and customer equipment, while managing a required tool inventory. Adhere to safety protocols, quality policies, and operational procedures, and report hazards to supervisors. Maintain a valid driver's license and pass a security background check.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience working on Automotive/Mobile equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret maintenance publications and drawings
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must be able to work for extended periods of time on their feet or in various positions which may be uncomfortable
- Required to clear preliminary government security background check prior to employment beginning
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
