Job Summary
GSE Mechanic responsible for troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, testing, and servicing ground support equipment (e.g., baggage loaders, tow tractors, pushback tractors, portable power units, forklifts). Duties include performing preventive maintenance, recording work orders via fleet management software, maintaining an organized workshop, staying updated on industry regulations, and coordinating with team members and external vendors. Must be able to operate vehicles up to ten tons (up to forty tons on select assignments), read maintenance manuals, and work with color-coded wiring; must work with minimal supervision and handle tasks independently. Includes physical requirements such as lifting over 50 pounds and potential shift work in an airport environment.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Valid drivere20?license
- Must be able to pass a 10-year Background check to obtain an Airport Badge
- Diesel experience
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
