Job Summary
GSE MECHANIC responsible for maintenance, repairs, and inspections of airport ground support equipment, including baggage tugs, belt loaders, pushback tractors, and ground power units. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools; perform scheduled preventive maintenance; ensure FAA regulations and airport safety compliance; maintain accurate maintenance records; respond to emergency repair calls; operate all types of GSE; collaborate with teams; participate in ongoing training; work outdoors year-round; basic computer skills for record keeping and parts ordering; ASE certifications are referenced as qualifications. Must read electrical and hydraulic schematics and be able to perform welding/cutting as needed. Education: high school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certification in automotive or aviation mechanics is a plus.
