Job Summary

Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air while logging repair descriptions and tracking parts. Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, or modify engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bumpers, bag cart curtains, towing hitches, undercarriages, wheels, tires, and various mechanical components. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using test equipment and manuals in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations. Remove, test, repair, or replace components such as carburetors, governors, and ignition points. Check and adjust tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches, and drive shafts. Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment. Adhere to all safety procedures and exemplify customer service standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • 3 years of verified experience
  • Must provide their own tools and toolbox
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to reach with arms and grasp with hands
  • Ability to push, pull
  • Ability to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces
  • Ability to bend, stretch, squat, kneel
  • Ability to climb and work at elevated heights
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
  • Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
  • Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
  • Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
