Job Summary
GSE Mechanic II role performing maintenance and repair of ground support equipment (tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks) and related systems at an aviation services provider. Responsibilities include servicing equipment with fuel/water/oil/hydraulic fluid and compressed air, logging repair descriptions, inspecting and repairing engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, brakes, undercarriages, and associated components; diagnosing problems with test equipment per manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations; performing preventive maintenance, completing paperwork, and adhering to safety standards while delivering customer service. Requires 3 years of verified experience, tool ownership, ability to work night shifts, and eligibility to work in the U.S.; FAA/TSA/Port Authority credentials as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- 3 years of verified experience
- Must provide their own tools and toolbox
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
