Job Summary

Oversee a team of technicians performing maintenance and repair on a fleet of Airport Ground Support Equipment, including tow tractors, pushback tractors, and refueling trucks. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and electrical discrepancies; inspect, rebuild, and overhaul components while adhering to service bulletins and safety guidelines. Manage work schedules based on equipment availability and customer operational needs, ensuring proper documentation in the ERP system and maintaining spare parts inventory. Communicate equipment status and repair progress to customers, keeping direct managers informed of all relevant activity and scope changes. Create and analyze site activity performance indicators to prepare corrective actions. This role requires a Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, ASE certifications, and experience with heavy equipment, with a shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to understand and troubleshoot heavy equipment
  • Must have shop floor experience and the ability to manage the work schedule and have a presence for all three shifts
  • Must have strong leadership skills, though aptitude would be considered
  • Must have strong communication skills and judgment, with the ability to keep management informed and to know, with training, when to escalate a problem or issue
  • Must be accessible via phone for emergencies
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • 5S (or equivalent) experience for floor organization
  • ERP experience
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
  • Ability to work both as a team and/or independently with great success
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • No travel restrictions

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, with a technical degree a strong plus
  • Med/Heavy Truck Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred
  • Universal HVAC certification preferred
