Job Summary
Direct a preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize equipment use while administering testing and inspection protocols for ground support vehicles. Maintain detailed fleet records, track expenses, and enforce quantity and quality control standards to ensure all work meets established safety procedures and specifications. Plan and organize personnel, facilities, and equipment to meet operational objectives efficiently. This role requires five years of mechanical maintenance experience with two years in a supervisory capacity, the ability to lift 70lbs, and must include passing a drug test and federal background check. Graduation from high school or equivalent proficiency is required, with college coursework in mechanical engineering or business administration preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency
- College-level courses in mechanical engineering, business administration, transportation management, and business management
- Five years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial vehicle operation
- Two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity
- Ability to maximize fleet utilization
- Ability to ensure maximum shop productivity
- Ability to lift continually up to 70lbs
- Must pass a drug test
- Must pass a federal background check
- Must have own tools
