Job Summary
Coordinate and complete all preventative and corrective maintenance on Ground Support Equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose equipment problems, evaluate parts for reuse or replacement, and prioritize repairs to minimize impact on crew production. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts while using various hand and power tools to fix repairs across the YHZ base and other network locations. Submit maintenance records and time sheets, adhering to prescribed safety procedures and travel requirements for on-call responsibilities. This role supports Executive Aviation's ground operations at Halifax Airport, requiring independent work under the guidance of a lead technician.
Required Qualifications
- Completed coursework for 310s or 310t Mechanic
- On call availability
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
- A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgs
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
- Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
- A criminal background check
- Hold a valid driver's license
