Job Summary
Lead safety strategy and compliance for GSA nationwide; provide expert guidance on occupational safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management; conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments; develop corrective action plans; review construction plans to ensure safety compliance; develop and deliver safety policies, guidance, and training programs; support national safety program tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement; represent GSA in meetings with agencies, regulators, and stakeholders; maintain safety data, records, and compliance with federal standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field; or a degree supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in related scientific or technical disciplines.
- Minimum of five years of relevant scientific or technical experience in occupational safety and health.
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
