Job Summary
Lead complex government construction projects from concept to completion, overseeing planning through closeout, budgets, schedules, contractor performance, and customer expectations; manage design documents, submittals, and coordination with A/E firms and government stakeholders; ensure code compliance and on-site operations with travel to project sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
- Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems.
- Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, contracting staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management tools and estimating software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
