Job Summary
Industrial Hygienist to support federal portfolio compliance across multiple IH program areas. Responsibilities include IH inspections and assessments (asbestos, lead, mold, radon, water quality, indoor air quality), sampling and data interpretation, development of Statements of Work and cost estimates, reviewing abatement/remediation plans for regulatory compliance, providing technical IH guidance for construction and monitoring activities, responding to IH incidents, performing risk assessments, delivering training, maintaining IH certifications, and ensuring alignment with current IH standards. Requires a Bachelor of Science, 8+ years IH experience, strong communication, and OHSA 40-Hour HAZWOPER with Colorado IH certifications; remote work option in California with US-based operations; and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a science-related field
- Eight years of progressively responsible industrial hygiene experience
- Knowledge of IH sampling methods, laboratory analysis protocols, and environmental health assessment procedures
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF editing tools
- Current Colorado certifications: Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist, Lead Inspector
- Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual 8-hour refresher
- Enrollment in medical surveillance and medical clearance for respiratory protection per 29 CFR 1910.134
- Ability to maintain competencies, certifications, and licensure per evolving IH standards
- Strong leadership, analytical, and written communication skills
