Job Summary
The GS Field Estimator is responsible for delivering accurate estimating services for patch-and-repair proposals, supporting sales and operations. This role conducts assessments of roofing conditions, develops detailed estimates and proposals, and serves as a liaison with field teams. Essential duties include coordinating quality control, investigating building conditions, preparing budgets, collaborating with teams, and providing professional communication. Qualifications include prior roofing experience and supervisory skills, along with required certifications such as OSHA 30-hour certification.
Required Qualifications
- 30-hour OSHA certification
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO) preferred but not required.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory skills and ability to manage people and tasks.
- Prior roofing experience, including patch and repair skills.
- Knowledge of Project Management, planning, and scheduling.
- Knowledge and experience monitoring and maintaining quality control.
- Functional computer skills.
- Safety training and OSHA knowledge.
- Understanding of budgeting and expense management.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays when needed.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
