Growth Product Manager - 12 month parental leave cover
HybridMelbourne, Victoria, Australia
Job Summary
Own the growth pillar end-to-end, including the funnel, loops, metrics, and experiment roadmap with full autonomy on ship/kill/extend decisions. Run a steady experiment cadence with an embedded Growth Engineer, targeting the biggest bottleneck through design, sizing, QA, and rollout. Bring early-stage growth loops to life between new patient surfaces and the established request product, refining sequenced backlog items and validating which loops to build. Own growth accounting by monitoring north star and driver metrics, using cohort and segment analysis to explain movements. Lead alignment across product and go-to-market teams to keep delivery moving when priorities shift. Work AI-first by leveraging tooling for scoring and sizing while critically evaluating outputs before driving decisions. This fixed-term contract covers parental leave for 12 months, with the goal of handing the pillar back in better shape than found.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years in growth product management, growth marketing or a closely related role
- demonstrated ownership of a growth area
- measurable improvement across multiple experiment cycles
- Strong experimentation craft — design, sizing, QA and measurement
- Solid data skills: cohort analysis, segmentation and metric definition in a production analytics environment
- Fluency in growth accounting — north star and driver metrics, guardrails and cadence
- A working understanding of growth loops and dual-sided marketplace dynamics — where supply and demand reinforce each other
- The ability to ramp fast and own outcomes from early in the contract
- An AI-first way of working — you use AI tools as genuine leverage in how you research, prioritise and ship, can speak to specifics, and verify AI output before it drives decisions
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing growth loops in production, or operating in a dual-sided marketplace
- B2C healthcare, or another regulated/sensitive consumer domain where trust, consent and safety are first-class design constraints
- Experience navigating B2C/B2B tensions in prioritisation and product development
- A track record of improving experimentation infrastructure, documentation or rollout discipline within a team
- Familiarity with tools like GrowthBook, Amplitude, Mixpanel or Metabase in a production context
