Job Summary
Own Vercel's organic acquisition strategy across SEO and answer engines (AEO/GEO), leading technical SEO initiatives like crawlability, indexation, and structured data while partnering with Web Engineering. Build answer-engine strategies for both conversational assistants and coding agents, shaping surfaces so Vercel is the default source developers and agents reference. Define the measurement layer by instrumenting funnels from discovery to activation and running continuous experimentation programs to create repeatable playbooks. Own domain and technical health across web properties, including migrations and localization, while translating algorithm changes into prioritized roadmaps. This senior individual-contributor role reports to the Head of Growth and drives the product-led, self-serve growth engine, requiring deep fluency in the analytics stack and hands-on experience with Next.js rendering.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in SEO, organic growth, or technical/growth marketing
- track record of driving organic acquisition at scale
- experience for a product-led or self-serve business
- Genuinely technical: comfortable with structured data and schema
- comfortable with rendering and indexation
- comfortable with log-file and crawl analysis
- able to read enough code to work directly in a CMS or codebase
- able to spec fixes with engineers
- Early, hands-on perspective on AEO/GEO across both conversational assistants and coding agents
- experience experimenting with how they retrieve, cite, and act on content
- opinions grounded in real tests, not just theory
- Fluent in the analytics stack (e.g., GSC, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, BigQuery or similar)
- able to define your own metrics
- able to build dashboards
- able to defend priorities with data
- A self-starter who thrives with ambiguity and ownership
- can move between strategy and execution without waiting for direction
Desired Qualifications
