Job Summary
Build and manage a pipeline of prospective partners and non-traditional media opportunities, prioritizing based on fit against acquisition and business goals. Lead outreach, pitching, and negotiation with prospective partners, owning the relationship from first conversation through signed agreement, onboarding, and ongoing partner management. Structure commercial terms and contracts in partnership with legal/finance, balancing partner economics with company goals. Serve as the primary relationship owner for partners you bring on, representing the company at industry events and conferences to build a strong deal pipeline. Partner closely with the performance marketing team to ensure continued alignment on performance goals and health. Conduct market and competitive research to identify new partnership models and emerging channels. Provide input into forecasting and pipeline contribution from new partnerships in collaboration with performance marketing and analytics. This individual contributor role is ideal for someone with 5-7 years of partnerships or business development experience. Candidates should be able to work a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days per week in the office.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of partnerships or business development experience
- Proven track record in business development, partnerships, or sales — sourcing, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with external partners or decision-makers
- A sales-driven mindset with a deep understanding of pipeline, revenue impact, and how to prioritize opportunities
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with external stakeholders and decision-makers
- Comfortable owning ambiguity — able to build a partnership from a cold conversation to a signed, launched deal with minimal hand-holding
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously at different stages
- Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a bias toward action and comfort operating independently as an individual contributor
- Comfortable working cross-functionally, including partnering with teammates on operational execution while retaining relationship ownership
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to structuring deals that are sustainable and set up for long-term success
- Candidates who are able to work a hybrid schedule of 2–3 days per week in the office
